We’re about 99% sure that Putin has never taken the Sorting Hat test. You know, the one that tells you which house at Hogwarts you would be sorted into within the Harry Potter universe. That being said, we’re pretty sure Putin would be a Slytherin. Ambitious, resourceful, and just a little bit wicked at times! He also tends to act purely from logic and calculation, and is always just a few steps ahead.
What really sums up his status as a Slytherin? This quote from Marin Katusa, who has long studied Russian politics and Putin, and authored the book The Colder War: How the Energy Trade Slipped from America’s Grasp. “He carefully weighs the costs and risks of acting against the likely benefit to the homeland… Nevertheless,” warns Katusa, “it is best not to poke him in the eye.” Sounds like a Slytherin to us!
