Salvatore Riina, known also as, Toto Un Curtu, which means Sicilian for Toto the short, was one of the most dangerous mob bosses to go down in history. Even the police called him the beast for his ruthless acts.
He came to prominence when he started a ruthless murder campaign against the prosecutors of the anti-mafia campaign. Reports state that he killed almost 40 people by himself and ordered the killing of over 100 people. The ways of Salvatore vary significantly from mafia bosses who preceded him. Only to distract the police, he advocated the killings of innocent women children and blameless mafia members. He operated his ruthless criminal empire for 23 years, beforethe police finally managed to nab him. He passed away in jail due to health issues.
