Is this the most famous line from the movie? We think so! If you have ever watched someone run off into the abyss, then you have probably yelled this iconic sentence! Do you think the writers of this film knew this quote would become forever famous? Maybe they did, maybe they didn’t, but they hit a home run with this phrase. As sweet young Jenny walks home with Forrest, a gang of kids chase him down on their bikes and this crooked spine struck child runs his heart out with leg braces on.
Forrest was born with strong legs but dealt with a crooked spine. He was forced to wear leg braces which made walking difficult and running nearly impossible, making this run down his driveway nearly impossible but by the force of god or fate or maybe it was Jenny telling him to run, his braces bust off and the rest is history.
