How do you portray a s**tbag Father who may molest and beat his children? Ask the creators of Forrest Gump because they nailed a very sad and true scene about issues that so many people deal with in real life.
This scene and quote from the movie is so significant it has its own name, ‘A Prayer for Jenny’. Jenny is struck with a bad father, who really messes her up at a young age. This almost sets Forrest up as her knight and shining armour from the very beginning, he cares for Jenny so very much, even at the age of 10 he wants so badly for her home situation to improve, they pray together for a change. The change that comes is that Jenny’s dad gets thrown into jail and she gets to live with her Grandma.
