We all like to think that racism is behind us, but it’s not. One of the most recent cases of insane racism in the restaurant industry happened at Maker’s Mark Bourbon House. Someone tried to book a public event at the restaurant.

The restaurant asked the planner what the “black to white” ratio would be. Shocking, right? It gets worse. When the event happened, the restaurant staff denied entry to every single person of color who wanted to attend.

The Kentucky restaurant was sued, and was deemed the most racist restaurant in America. This happened in 2012, proving that many parts of the country really haven’t progressed at all.
