“Always be nice to bankers. Always be nice to pension fund managers. Always be nice to the media. In that order.” – John Gotti

Born in the Bronx, John Gotti is one of the most popular mob bosses in history, mainly due to his daughter and granddaughters reality TV fame. After being inducted into the mob scene at the ripe age of 12 he became a member of the Gambino family, at the same time and behind the backs of his bosses, he was selling heroin on the streets of New York. The Gambino family discovered this in 1985 which was a major violation of the gang, so Gotti organized the murder of Paul Castellano to take the throne of the Gambino crime family. In 1992 he was finally sent to prison and was from there on called ‘The Teflon Don’.
