Do we think Dennis Quaid would have gone on to do Suspect, The Parent Trap and a whole plethora of movies if he has been cast in The Dukes of Hazzard? Well it doesn’t matter now but when the show began casting in 1978, they casted a wide net for the role of Luke Duke.

Dennis Quaid was almost cast as Luke but had one condition… they had to cast his wife as Daisy!! The producers were not so keen on this and decided to pass up Quaid for Wopat, who ended up as Luke.
