Polio is one of the most famous viruses in existence, and has thankfully been eradicated for the most part. This virus infects the spinal cord and nervous system, causing the sufferer to slowly become paralyzed.

Many people who were infected with polio never knew, since it can remain asymptomatic. But, for those unlucky few, this food-borne illness quickly becomes the bane of their existence.
