Dengue fever is a viral infection that’s famous for being transmitted by mosquitoes and causing people to develop hemorrhagic fever. Around 40 percent of the world’s population lives in an area affected by dengue fever, and the population is expected to grow as the climate starts to warm up.
Dengue fever is actually not that deadly compared to other viruses on this list. Only 2.5 percent of all infected individuals will die as a result of the disease.
