This disease is spread by ticks, regularly infects livestock in remote countries, and has all the makings of a nightmare disease. Much like smallpox, this virus carries a 30 percent mortality rate. Unlike smallpox, the symptoms are hard to notice at first.
The first signs include a light cough and irritability. It quickly devolves into liver failure, respiratory problems, and kidney deterioration. Basically, all your organs start to shut down after a certain point. Yikes.
